I decided to take a break and got up from the computer and walked into another room... and another view! Looking out this window I saw a forsythia bush with an empty bird nest left over from last year. At the bottom of the bush I also saw several bright yellow blossoms. While looking at that empty nest I suddenly thought of an empty tomb and the bright yellow blossoms made me think of Easter morning. Hallelujah!
Isn't is amazing how quickly one can go from gloom to jubilation? Sometimes this is because of your outlook on life, or in my case this morning, just "looking out on life". It is still officially winter but in my mind, it is now spring. Because Jesus died on that cross for me and rose again I have hope for the future. My sins are forgiven and He has washed me white as snow. The words to the song Because He Lives now washes over me and I am truly blessed. What a wonderful and loving God we serve.

We Need Your Help
1)We have several books and DVD's that have been checked out and are now past due. Please check your homes, cars, rooms, and offices and return any that you may have overlooked.
2) If you are looking for a place to serve at WHBC a few hours a month, we could use your help in the Library. We need workers to man the Library on some Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings and Wednesday evenings.

Because He Lives
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal, and forgive.
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
How sweet to hold a newborn baby,
And feel the pride and joy he gives.
But greater still the calm assurance,
This child can face uncertain days because He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone.
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
And then one day I'll cross the river,
I'll fight life's final war with pain.
And then as death gives way to victory,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow.
Because He lives, All fear is gone!
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living just because He lives!
