The aim of The New Testament from 26 Translations is to combine in one
volume the complete King James text and the most significant variations
from 25 later translations. The entire text of the King James Version
appears phrase-by-phrase in bold type, followed in each instance by
significant and illuminating variations from the other translations.
Each translated portion is coded for immediate recognition. The New
Testament from 26 Translations: * Selects from the many translations
words and turns of phrase which add to the King James Version. * Offers a
concise commentary on the New Testament through a comparison of the
various translations. * Consolidates into one convenient volume the
varying shades of meaning from 25 important versions. * Is a unique tool
for Bible study.
How do we know the Bible is God's Word? What is sin and where did it come from? How is Jesus fully God and fully man?
What are spiritual gifts? When and how will Christ return?
If you've asked questions like
these, then 'systematic theology' is no abstract term. It's an approach
to finding answers every Christian needs to know.
Bible Doctrine takes a highly
commended upper-level textbook on systematic theology and makes it
accessible to the average reader. Abridged from Wayne Grudem's
award-winning Systematic Theology, Bible Doctrine covers the same
essentials of the faith, giving you a firm grasp on seven key topics:
The Doctrine of the Word of God
The Doctrine of God
The Doctrine of Man
The Doctrine of Christ
The Doctrine of the Application of Redemption
The Doctrine of the Church
The Doctrine of the Future
The Doctrine of God
The Doctrine of Man
The Doctrine of Christ
The Doctrine of the Application of Redemption
The Doctrine of the Church
The Doctrine of the Future
Like Systematic Theology, this
book is marked by its clarity, its strong scriptural emphasis, its
thoroughness in scope and detail, and its treatment of such timely
topics as spiritual warfare and the gifts of the Spirit. But you don't
need to have had several years of Bible school to reap the full benefits
of Bible Doctrine. It's easy to understand--and it's packed with solid,
biblical answers to your most important questions.
NON-FICTION
No one has ever sacrificed anything for God. If you always get back more than you gave up, have you sacrificed anything at all? The eternal reward always outweighs the temporal sacrifice. At the end of the day, our greatest regret will be whatever we didn't give back to God. What we didn't push back across the table to Him. Eternity will reveal that holding out is losing out.
The message of All In is simple: if Jesus is not Lord of all then Jesus is not Lord at all. It's all or nothing. It's now or never. Kneeling at the foot of cross of Christ and surrendering to His Lordship is a radical act of dethroning yourself and enthroning Christ as King. It's also an act of disowning yourself. Nothing belongs to you. Not even you.
No one looks at growing older quite like Martha Bolton. Whether she's
contemplating why some people turn cantankerous as they age, suggesting
songs and books for the middle years, or looking at the benefits of
shrinking, she keeps readers laughing out loud. And when readers are
laughing the loudest, she'll touch them with a moving or poignant
observation to remind them about the value of life. This new book from
the full-time comedy writer follows in the wake of It's Always Darkest
Before the Fridge Door Opens and the bestselling Didn't My Skin Used to

In The Thin Commandments Diet,
Dr. Stephen Gullo lets you in on his unique weight-loss program that
has a success rate that is many times higher than the national average.
His two-part approach replaces willpower with strategy and deprivation
dining with great-tasting gourmet fare.
In the first part, he reveals his strategy secrets — the 10 Thin Commandments — including:
- Think historically, not just calorically — identify trigger foods that can undermine your weight loss.
- Slips should teach you, not defeat you — uncover the "24-hour secret" and never gain weight from binging again.
- The problem may be in the food, not in you — learn the strategies to take control of your favorite foods.
In the second part, Dr. Gullo
outlines his simple diet which will put you on the shortest path to safe
and rapid weight loss — without depriving you of the foods you love. He
takes the guesswork out of dieting and offers a program that helps melt
pounds away quickly and easily.

You know Ruth’s story. Now meet her in person. And prepare to be changed.
Walk with Ruth as she travels from Moab to Bethlehem, certain of her calling, yet uncertain of her future. Hold Naomi’s hand and watch love put the pieces of her broken life back together. And hang out with Boaz, their kinsman-redeemer, who blesses both women and honors God, big time.
With best-selling author Liz Curtis Higgs by your side, you’ll tarry in the corners of their ancient houses, listen to their conversations, and consider every word of every verse until you can say, “I totally get the book of Ruth. And I see what God is trying to teach me through this rags-to-riches redemption story—he has a plan for my life.”
Girl, does he ever!
Think of it as time travel without gimmicks, gizmos, or a DeLorean: a novel approach to Bible study that leaps from past to present, gleaning timeless truths that speak to the heart.

As you read this book, there are a
few things you have to understand: 95 percent of my stories are
truthful. Every member of the Robertson family has the God- given gift
of storytelling. Hey, when you’ve sat in a duck blind for more than half
of your life, you have to figure out some way to pass the time! It’s
better than looking at Willie and Jase for six hours! Many of the
stories I like to tell happened when I was a young boy or when I was in
Vietnam. At my age, a few of the details are cloudy, but I’ll recollect
the coming stories as best I can. Hey, just remember it isn’t a lie if
you think it’s true! It’s up to you, the reader, to figure out what’s
truth and what’s fiction. Best of luck with that, Jack! May the force be
with you.
Hey, another thing you have to
know: my stories are kind of like my vocabulary. You might have noticed I
like to say “hey” quite a bit. “Hey” can mean anything. It can mean
“yes,” it can mean “maybe,” and it can mean “no.” Hey, it could mean
“next week.” The bottom line is, you have to understand “hey” to
understand me.
And if you know anything about Silas Merritt Robertson, you know I’m a hard rascal to figure out.

The Chance
Years ago, the day before Ellie
moved from Georgia to California, she and her best friend Nolan sat
beneath the Spanish moss of an ancient oak tree and wrote letters to
each other, sealing them in a rusty old metal box. The plan was to
return eleven years later and read them in 2013, the year Nolan’s time
traveling books say all the mysteries of the world will be understood.
Now, as that date approaches,
much has changed. Ellie, bereft of the faith she grew up with, is a
single mom living in a tired apartment and trying to make ends meet.
Nolan, now an NBA star, has dealt with terrible personal tragedies that
fueled his faith and athletic drive in equal measure. Ever since his
father and coach succumbed to a heart attack, Nolan has suffered from a
transcendent loneliness. Drowning in an ocean of grief, he often thinks
about Ellie and the innocence of their childhood days together.
As Ellie and Nolan move toward
the possibility of a reunion at the oak tree, Molly and Ryan, the
central characters from author Karen Kingsbury’s previous novel The Bridge, return in their own ongoing story. Written by the “Queen of Christian Fiction” (Time) with eloquence and grace, The Chance is a beautiful tale of heart-wrenching loss, the power of faith, and the wounds that only love can heal.

Between Sundays
Bestselling author Kingsbury (Forever; Sunrise) sets her first hardcover novel in the world of professional football. Derrick Anderson, a retiring quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, promised his dying son that he would win a Super Bowl for him. His hope may rest on upcoming star Aaron Hill, who is beginning to find the glitz and glamour of life at the top meaningless. To complicate things, there's a young foster child named Cory who believes that Aaron is his dad and is determined to get his point across, and sparks fly (of course) between Aaron and Megan, Cory's foster mother. Kingsbury's fans can probably guess exactly how the story will turn out, but will still enjoy the ride. Woven into the light inspirational romance is a message about the needs of foster children, inspired by Alex Smith's work with the foster care system-Smith is the real-life 49ers' quarterback and penned the foreword. The writing at times plods, and everything is simple, sometimes unbelievably so-the story, the dialogue, the characters' Christian faith. But Kingsbury's fans like her novels sweet, and this one may motivate them to get involved and make a difference with some of the neediest kids.

The New York Times bestselling authors present a new series set on an island a stone's skip away from Cape Light...
Welcome to Angel Island, not far
from the shores of Cape Light. It's said to harbor angels that help
guide the lost, that sometimes lead them right back to where they
began...
Liza Martin arrives on Angel
Island to sell the inn she and her brother inherited from their aunt, so
she can bolt back to her busy life in Boston. But back home awaits a
broken marriage and an unstable career. The more time she spends on
Angel Island, and with every local she meets, the more she finds herself
enjoying the tranquility of the place. Her new friends don't want to
see her sell the inn to developers who will ruin the island's charm.
There is much for her to resolve before her departure- and it is going
to take a band of angels to mend her broken wings and redirect her soul.
The
Inn at Angel Island is officially open for business, and owner Liza
Martin has booked her first major event-a June wedding. Jennifer, the
bride, met her fiancé on the island when they were teenagers, and she's
always dreamed of being married at the Inn. Liza wants to make sure that
Jennifer has a perfect wedding day, but she soon notices tension
between the bride and groom and begins to wonder: What good is the most
spectacular setting or cake if the love between the couple isn't as
beautiful and strong?
Liza is hoping everything will
come together, but on the day of the wedding a storm rolls in-and the
groom is nowhere to be found. Everything is going wrong, and Liza
realizes that it will take nothing short of a miracle to make this
wedding a success. Then again, if you have faith and love, Angel Island
is just the sort of place where miracles can happen.
In Apollyon, the individual members of the Tribulation Force find
themselves distraught at personal problems, as well as the destructive
forces of evil that are steadily taking over their world. Buck Williams

true believer. Hattie, Nicolae's former mistress, is approaching the
birth of their child with fear and and uncertainty. As believers prepare
to gather in a massive rally, God unleashes a plague of locusts to
destroy those who do not carry His seal on their foreheads.
The horrors of the Tribulation are over, and Jesus Christ has set up his
perfect kingdom on earth. Believers all around the world enjoy a newly
perfected relationship with their Lord, and the earth itself is
transformed. Yet evil still lurks in the hearts of the unbelieving. As
the Millennium draws to a close, the final generation of the unrepentant
prepares to mount a new offensive against the Lord Himself—sparking the
final and ultimate conflict from which only one side will emerge the
eternal victor.

Yes, you might wonder what these creatures may have in common. In this
early nonfiction reader that is part of the "Silly Millies" series, kids
will pick up some interesting facts, and probably enjoy a laugh at the
comparisons. As the amusing watercolor illustrations show—a moose and a
goose both like water plants. Bees and manatees both dance, but the
former appears to dance for fun while the latter is imparting valuable
information about the last food source. The matchings continue with some
really unusual and creative comparisons—a gorilla and a chinchilla, a
sloth and a moth, a cockatoo and a kangaroo, a warthog and a bullfrog.
Look for the humor in the pictures ranging from a gorilla bedding down
with a pair of teddy bears to the cockatoo and kangaroo sharing Mom's
pouch. The book concludes with notes to parents with tips to encourage
and promote reading skillsYOUTH

Gr 4-7-In this first book in a new series, 13-year-old DJ Randall dreams
of owning a horse and competing in the Olympics. DJ is a
self-sufficient young woman who holds an afterschool job grooming
horses, sweeping stables, and teaching younger equestrians in exchange
for riding time. Because of her concern with paying back her grandmother
for special jumping lessons, she and her friend Amy advertize that they
will bring a pony to birthday parties to offer children rides. DJ's
prayers to God for guidance are not obtrusive and fit her personality.
Yet she has her stubborn, sarcastic, and hurtful ways of dealing with
her mother, who is frequently away on business. Snelling has a good ear
for teen dialogue. However, readers may be put off by the unexpected
subplot involving James, a mere acquaintance mentioned at the beginning
of the book, and his drunken, abusive father. There's a pat conclusion,
which wraps everything up in a mere four pages. A satisfying story for
those looking for fiction with inspirational values.-Blair Christolon,
